The following are the courses to be covered in our 2026 Summer Coding Class:

Week 1: Basic ICT and Computer Training for Kids

  • Understanding Hardware and Software
  • Internet and Online Safety
  • Typing Skills

Week 2: Introduction to Web Design

  • Basics of HTML and CSS
  • Designing and structuring web pages
  • Creating simple, responsive web layouts

Week 3: Advanced Web Design

  • Enhancing web pages with advanced CSS techniques
  • Introduction to JavaScript for interactivity

Week 4: Introduction to Scratch

  • Basics of Scratch programming
  • Creating and animating graphics in Scratch
  • Designing interactive projects and games

Week 5: Advanced Web Design (cont.)

  • Working with CSS framework (Bootstrap)
  • Building Responsive and Interactive Web Pages
  • Project: Building a personal website

Week 6: Capstone Projects and Presentation

  • Finalizing web design and Scratch projects
  • Presentation of projects to peers and instructors
  • Awarding of certificates of completion

Schoolcode 2026 SUMMER CODING CLASS

Schoolcode Nigeria is thrilled to present our Summer Coding Class tailored for kids aged 10 to 18 in Omu-Aran and its environs. This program will immerse learners in the fundamentals of Web Design, Scratch and Graphic Design. The class will take place from August 5 to September 13, 2024.
